Make the WP admin simple for the client (non-technical). Create a single source of truth for Vacancies so they’re entered once and automatically shown wherever needed (no more triple manual updates).
Current stack: WordPress + Elementor (custom theme/layouts are in place)
Scope 1) Admin UX & Permissions - Create a custom user role for the client (e.g., Content Editor): - Can edit Pages and Vacancies only - Cannot access plugins, settings, tools, appearance, etc. - Trim the admin menu and top bar for this role (Pages, Vacancies, Media only). - Brand and tidy the dashboard (remove clutter widgets, add a short “How to” panel).
2) Vacancies as a Custom Post Type - Implement a CPT: “Vacancies” (slug: /vacatures/), with custom capabilities. - Fields (use ACF or native meta; your call, but keep it clean & future-safe):
1. Title (job title) 2. Intro / Short summary 3. Three highlights 4, Full text (WYSIWYG / Elementor textarea) 5. Featured image
Editor experience: one screen to add a vacancy, hit Publish — done.
3) Front-end Output (Single Source of Truth)
Integrate job details like Title, image, description on different areas on the website. This must be automated, when posted a new job or deleting an existing one.
Client role sees only Pages, Vacancies, Media. Adding a vacancy in one place updates all front-end spots automatically.
