Expected duration: 1 - 6 months OBJECTIVE: We’re seeking someone with proven, hands-on experience running crowdfunding campaigns for films (or closely related creative projects) to plan, build, launch, and manage a 30–60 day Indiegogo campaign to raise approximately £10,000 for a production-ready, scripted, cast-attached short film / proof-of-concept.
I have created an Indiegogo campaign page (poorly) already, with some content already in place. This may be a place to start, or you may wish to create from scratch. Ideal applicants will understand how to speak authentically to film-literate, genre-engaged audiences.
Please only apply if you have led at least one campaign end-to-end (strategy → launch → delivery), OR can clearly demonstrate a strategic role within a campaign with the skills and experience to step into full ownership.
ABOUT THE PROJECT: A 20-minute pulp-noir short film which also acts as a proof-of-concept for a feature currently in development.
We were slated for filming in week-1 of January 2026. However, the original filming location (a small cinema, including its vintage 35mm projector - a key story element) we had booked has just now become unavailable. This campaign will bridge the funding gap to secure a new location, hire a projector, and cover relocation-related production costs including scaled insurance and PLI.
STATUS (PRODUCTION-READY): • Script locked • Cast and crew attached • Kit in place • Insurance in place (to be scaled for relocation)
WHAT WE NEED / DELIVERABLES: • Campaign strategy and roadmap • Audience warm-up and pre-pledge plan • Page optimisation (story, rewards, clarity) • Early-momentum launch plan • Weeks 3-4 momentum plan • Final-week push strategy • Ethical, transparent practice (no fake pledges, hype, NFT tactics etc) • Reporting and insight-led adjustments
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE: Applicants need to be able to provide: 1. Links to crowdfunding campaigns you personally worked on. Please include: • Platform and goal • Amount raised • Your exact role • What actions you took that moved the needle 2. A clear strategy on how you maintain momentum in weeks 3-4 (or weeks 6-8 if taking the two month route) of a campaign
NOT SUITABLE FOR: X Web3 / NFT / speculative “aspiration-sales” funding specialists X General marketers with no strategic crowdfunding leadership X Template or generic AI-generated proposals X Applicants unable to provide links or evidence of experience
FEE STRUCTURE • Fixed Fee: £500 (this is the fixed-fee portion only and excludes success-based percentage) • Additional Success Fee: 7% of funds actually raised via the crowdfunding campaign, capped at £700 total • The fixed fee will be paid in phased milestones (outlined below) • The additional success fee is only payable on confirmed funds received, and will be calculated net of platform and payment processor fees (i.e., applied to the amount released to the production, not the headline total) • The success fee will be paid within 14 days of campaign close • Refunded or reversed pledges are excluded from the calculation • Offline/private investment raised separately from the campaign is excluded, UNLESS explicitly agreed in writing beforehand
Phase 1: Strategy and Planning • Visual and written assets prepared • Messaging and positioning prepared • Reward structure • Pre-pledge strategy • Timeline and comms plan • Risk assessment • Realistic projections Milestone payment: 30% of fixed fee.
Phase 2: Build and Warm-Up • Indiegogo page copy and layout in place • Pre-launch email templates and outreach plan • Campaign outreach list structured • Pre-pledge activation plan in motion • Tracking and reporting set up Milestone payment: 30% of fixed fee once the page and warm-up campaign are fully built and ready to launch, and pre-pledge outreach has commenced.
Phase 3: Live Campaign Management • Launch-day activation • Early-pledge coordination • Ongoing week-by-week outreach • Mid-campaign slump strategy • Updates and communications • Reporting and optimisation • Final-week push Milestone payment: 40% of fixed fee at campaign completion. A 7% success percentage will then be applied to funds actually raised.
Inflated %-only or uncapped commission proposals are not a fit.
