Summary We are launching a national petition to improve the clarity and fairness of UK consent laws — particularly in cases involving neurodivergent individuals and long-term relationships, where misunderstandings can lead to wrongful convictions.
This is a sensitive, meaningful, and high-impact campaign. We are seeking a UK-based Freelance Campaign Manager to lead outreach, messaging, media engagement, and national signature growth.
Responsibilities: Campaign Strategy & Growth Develop and execute a 4–6 week campaign plan Drive national petition signature growth Identify key audiences and outreach channels
Digital Outreach: Manage social media posting and engagement Create simple visuals (Canva-friendly) Recommend/manage small paid advertising budgets Build and grow online supporter communities
PR, Media & Stakeholder Engagement: Draft/send press releases Contact journalists, bloggers, influencers Engage autism and justice-related organisations Coordinate outreach to MPs (templates provided)
Project Management: Provide weekly updates Report on signature growth and engagement metrics Handle sensitive information with discretion
Required Skills: Campaign management experience (advocacy, charity, political, justice reform, or social issues) Strong digital marketing & social media skills PR/media outreach experience Excellent written communication Ability to handle sensitive subject matter Understanding of neurodiversity — or willingness to learn
Preferred (Not Required): Experience with autism-related organisations Background in criminal justice, human rights, or social policy Previous petition or grassroots campaign experience Canva/basic design ability Experience contacting MPs or public institutions
Budget & Payment: Hourly: £30–£60/hour (≈ $40–$80 USD/hour) Weekly retainer: £250–£450/week 4–8 week contract: negotiable We are focused on finding the right candidate.
