Fire Strategy Note (2–4 pages, PDF) o Confirms protected stair/landings to REI 60; FD30S doors; no lobby. o Uses ADB Vol 1 clauses (e.g., §3.27/Diag 3.7; §3.28/Diag 3.9; common-parts separation, Tables B1/B4; Section 7 & 9) to frame compliance. o States storey-exit travel distances (1F 4.4 m, Loft ~1 m) and that GF & 1F rooms have compliant escape windows. 2. A04 Calculations Appendix (PDF) o BS 7974 summary (ASET/RSET) with assumptions and sensitivity. o Plume mass-flow vs AOV capacity check using standard algebraic methods (e.g., Heskestad entrainment) and NSHEV approach for ≥1.0 m² AOV at stair head (auto on stair/landing detection + manual control). o Clear acceptance criteria (interface ≥2.0 m, visibility/temperature/co exposure). 3. Drawings mark-ups (PDF on my plans; DWG mark-ups if possible) o Show AOV location & free area, protected route (stair/landings/corridor segments), FD30S door schedule, travel-distance lines to storey exit, and escape-window schedule. o Indicate any emergency lighting points on the route. 4. 60-Minute Separation Method (1 page + product sheets) o Walls/Floors: REI 60 build-ups (e.g., 2×15 mm Type F boards each side of stud; 60-min tested MF ceiling to timber joists). o Penetrations: EI 60 collars/wraps; fire-stopping schedule; duct dampers where required. o Cables in common parts: metal supports/containment (no plastic clips alone). 5. Alarm Design Brief (1 page) o Grade A Category L1 in common parts; heat in each bedsit on the Grade-A system; Grade D smoke inside each bedsit. 6. o Zoning by storey, MCPs at each storey exit, panel at entrance with zone chart. Simple Management Plan (½ page) o Weekly alarm test, monthly door checks (no wedging), quarterly AOV function test, emergency-lighting tests, logbook.
