We are looking for a skilled web developer/designer to help tidy up and optimize our existing website. The goal is to enhance the overall structure, design consistency, and user experience, ensuring the website runs smoothly and looks professional. The task will involve reviewing the website to identify areas for improvement in design, layout, and functionality. You will be responsible for removing outdated or unnecessary elements, ensuring the website is responsive, properly formatted, and user-friendly across all devices.
Additionally, the project will involve improving load time, fixing broken links or 404 errors, and simplifying navigation for easier usability. Updating outdated content, images, and branding where needed will be crucial, along with optimizing the website for SEO best practices. We also expect a general audit of the website to ensure it meets modern web standards.
The ideal candidate should have proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages. Experience with website optimization tools like Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix, as well as SEO knowledge, is essential. Familiarity with various CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, etc.) and the ability to work efficiently are key. Basic graphic design skills for updating images and graphics would also be beneficial.
At the end of the project, we expect a fully optimized and tidy website, with a clear report on the changes made and improvements implemented. Any recommendations for ongoing maintenance or further improvements will be appreciated.
