The core logic works, but it regularly trips the API’s limits (HTTP 429) and sometimes throws random connection or JSON errors that stop the whole run.
What I need now is a clean, reliable upgrade: • add proper rate-limiting that respects CoinGecko’s published threshold (a lightweight decorator or helper class is fine, as long as it’s clear and adjustable); • build solid retry logic with exponential back-off so transient issues don’t kill the job; • wrap all calls in sensible error handling, logging any failure without losing the day’s data; • keep the output format identical—a plain .txt file I can copy-paste to the blog.
