We are seeking an Automation Specialist to design, build, and maintain automated workflows that streamline operations and improve customer engagement for our Shopify-based e-commerce business. The role involves creating integrations, triggers, and workflows across Shopify, Airtable, Pipedrive, and other SaaS tools, ensuring smooth data flow and efficient handling of events like abandoned carts, order management, and customer support ticketing.
This role requires both technical execution (automation building, API connections, workflow testing) and business thinking (understanding customer journey, sales pipeline, and operations).

Key Responsibilities • Workflow Design & Implementation • Develop and maintain automated workflows across Shopify, Airtable, and Pipedrive. • Create workflows for e-commerce scenarios such as abandoned cart recovery, order follow-ups, upsell triggers, and customer segmentation. • Automate ticket creation for sales and support teams (e.g., when a cart is abandoned, generate a Pipedrive deal or Airtable task). • Systems Integration • Connect Shopify data (customers, orders, carts, products) to Airtable and Pipedrive. • Implement data syncing and ensure real-time accuracy across platforms. • Build error handling and logging processes to track automation health. • Optimization & Monitoring • Analyze workflow performance, propose improvements, and optimize for higher conversion (e.g., abandoned cart win-back rates). • Document all workflows and create SOPs for internal teams. • Ensure workflows align with business KPIs (sales growth, efficiency, customer experience). • Collaboration • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to understand needs and translate them into automated solutions. • Train team members to use and monitor automation tools.

Requirements • Technical Skills • Hands-on experience with Shopify (Admin API, webhooks, checkout flows). • Strong knowledge of Airtable (bases, automations, formulas, API). • Experience with Pipedrive CRM (stages, deal creation, workflow automations). • Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make, or custom scripting with Python/JS). • Understanding of APIs, JSON, and webhook-based integrations. • Business & Analytical Skills • Experience in e-commerce automation (abandoned cart recovery, customer lifecycle flows, lead qualification). • Ability to map workflows from business requirements to technical execution. • Strong analytical mindset; able to measure workflow impact and optimize. • Soft Skills • Detail-oriented and structured. • Able to work independently while collaborating with non-technical teams. • Strong documentation and communication skills.
