I require a competent, organised PA to assist with sourcing three reputable contractors in London for a mid-range Kitchen (9m²) + Bathroom (6m²) and kitchen renovation project. This is an admin/research and coordination role, not executive-level, but requires professionalism, diligence, and clear communication.
What You’ll Do • Use my prepared Renovation Specification (PDF) to brief contractors. • Source 3 suitable contractors in London who: • Have a physical premises or showroom. • Are registered with Companies House (3–5+ years trading). • Hold valid Public Liability Insurance (£2m+ recommended). • Are Gas Safe registered (boiler) and NICEIC/NAPIT certified (electrics). • Obtain and organise: • Itemised written quotes against my specification. • Copies of insurance & registrations. • At least two recent client references for each contractor.
Additional Requirements • Provide verification screenshots/PDFs from Companies House, Gas Safe, NICEIC, and VAT checks for each contractor. • Confirm each contractor’s availability/start date (e.g. within 8–12 weeks). • Coordinate and propose 2–3 site visit slots for each contractor. • Maintain a simple communication log (dates/times of calls/emails, responsiveness). • Check references directly (phone/email) and provide a short written summary of feedback. • Compile everything into: • One clean PDF pack per contractor (quotes + insurance + certifications + references + verification screenshots). • A side-by-side comparison table showing costs, availability, insurances, and credentials.
Deliverables • Shortlist of 3 vetted contractors. • Full document packs (1 per contractor). • Contractor comparison pack for decision-making.
Payment Paid by milestones: • Shortlist presented (£20). • Full quotes and documents gathered (£50). • Final comparison pack delivered (balance).
What I’m Looking For • Strong organisational and admin skills. • Confidence in communicating with contractors (by phone/email). • Experience sourcing suppliers, tradespeople, or similar roles is a plus. • Attention to detail (comfortable verifying credentials via online databases). • Clear, professional written English.
