I need a PHP + MySQL developer to fix and polish my EPC booking website. Some bugs are already being resolved, but there are still issues affecting bookings, payments, and assessor sign-ups. I’m looking for someone who can audit the whole site, fix the problems, and leave me with a smooth, professional booking system that works reliably for both customers and assessors. The website is built in PHP with a MySQL database (managed through phpMyAdmin). It’s live but not running as smoothly as it should.
I need a developer to carry out a full audit and clean-up of the site: fixing current bugs, identifying other issues I may not have spotted, and ensuring the whole booking flow works seamlessly for both customers and assessors.
Examples of current issues:
If a customer selects a date (e.g. Monday 15th) the PayPal panel shows correctly, but if they change to another date (e.g. Tuesday 16th) the PayPal panel doesn’t update.
Assessor sign-up form is buggy and needs to be simplified with proper validation and progress saving.
Job invite emails for assessors need redesigning to look professional, branded, and have clear accept/decline buttons.
Customer confirmation emails should be clean, branded, and clear (e.g. “Thanks for your booking, we’ll confirm your time shortly”).
Email/SMS notifications aren’t always aligned or consistent.
General polish needed so the site feels trustworthy, mobile-friendly, and easy to use.
What I want overall:
Customers: quick to get a price, easy to book, simple to pay, and they receive a clear branded confirmation email.
Assessors: simple sign-up process and branded job invite emails that work properly.
Admin: a smooth system without me needing to manually fix errors.
Website: clean, professional, SEO-friendly, and reliable across all devices.
Requirements:
Strong experience with PHP & MySQL (phpMyAdmin familiarity).
Skilled with booking systems, forms, and payment gateways (PayPal/Stripe).
Able to design branded HTML email templates.
Thorough tester who can spot issues I may not have noticed.
UX/SEO awareness so the site isn’t just functional, but also optimised.
