1. Project Overview
We require a robust, secure, and scalable AWS hosting environment for a Joomla CMS (5.x) with Fabrik extension. The platform will serve up to 200 concurrent logged-in users who will actively complete and submit forms. The solution must ensure high availability, strong performance, and compliance with best practices for data security.
2. Scope of Work
The provider is expected to design, provision, configure, and hand over a production-ready AWS environment, including documentation and knowledge transfer.
2.1 Core Infrastructure

Auto Scaling Group with EC2 instances (Amazon Linux 2023, Nginx + PHP-FPM 8.2, OPcache, APCu)

Joomla CMS with Fabrik extension deployed and tested
Stateless configuration (Redis for sessions, S3 for media, minimal shared EFS)
Database Layer
Amazon Aurora MySQL (MySQL 8) – Multi-AZ
RDS Proxy for connection pooling
Session & Cache
Amazon ElastiCache for Redis
Storage
Amazon EFS (shared dirs only if required)
Amazon S3 + CloudFront for static/media content delivery
Email
Amazon SES configured with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

AWS WAF on ALB/CloudFront with managed and custom rules
Shield Standard
IAM role-based access, no direct SSH (SSM Session Manager)
Secrets Manager/Parameter Store for DB and application secrets
Security Groups and least-privilege policies
2.3 Monitoring & Operations
CloudWatch monitoring, alarms, and logs
AWS Backup for Aurora, EFS, and S3 versioning
EventBridge/SSM for scheduled Joomla/Fabrik cron tasks
CI/CD (CodePipeline/CodeDeploy or equivalent) for zero-downtime deployments
