I am seeking an experienced web designer and developer to redo my optical supplies ecommerce website. The current site was built several years ago using WordPress and WooCommerce however it is now outdated in both design and functionality. The goal of this project is to completely overhaul the front-end and back-end to create a modern, user-friendly shopping experience for our customers.
The new design should have a clean, minimalist aesthetic with an emphasis on showcasing our product images and descriptions effectively. Navigation needs to be intuitive with optimized menus and filtering options. Key pages like the home, categories, products and checkout should be re-envisioned from the ground up. Additional requirements include integration of latest WooCommerce features, optimization for mobile viewing, implementation of a responsive design framework, and a migration of all site content to the new platform.
On the technical side, issues like page loading speed, security vulnerabilities and plugin/theme compatibility will need to be addressed. Database management, integration of payment gateways and tracking of orders and inventory are also important elements. The candidate should have extensive experience building and deploying ecommerce sites on WordPress/WooCommerce, be highly proficient with HTML, CSS, PHP and have strong problem-solving abilities to complete this redesign and repair project.
