Seeking an experienced Wix Velo developer to complete a targeted integration of a D-ID streaming AI video avatar into a Wix Studio site. This is not a full build—the basic structure is already in place, but we’re encountering issues generating the streaming session and embedding the video into an iframe.
You must be fluent in Wix Velo (frontend and backend via JSW) and experienced with integrating external APIs—specifically D-ID (preferred) or HeyGen (only as a fallback). This is a technical implementation role, not an exploratory or learning project.
You should:
Be proficient with Wix Secrets Manager and securely calling external APIs from backend modules
Understand D-ID’s streaming avatar API and session initialization flow
Know how to dynamically build a player URL and embed the result securely in an iframe
Be familiar with common limitations of Wix security regarding iframes and cross-origin communication
Understand how to pass dynamic text input (stored in a Velo variable and written to a textbox on the page) to the avatar session as spoken content
Project setup:
A test Wix Studio account will be provided for development and testing
API keys are already stored and accessible via Wix Secrets Manager
Frontend and backend code is partially implemented; your job is to complete and troubleshoot the session creation, video stream URL generation, and iframe embedding
