Are you an experienced video editor with a passion for storytelling and looking for part-time, remote work? If so, then this might be the role for you!
Cloudwards.net is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to support us on a part-time basis in creating compelling video content for our YouTube channel and our Cloudwards courses. The editor will be responsible for producing engaging videos that effectively communicate both simple and complex concepts related to cloud-based technology.
The role will require a commitment of 10+ hours per week, with the potential to expand to 20-30 hours in the future. Video projects will be assigned in a rolling fashion as we prepare content for publication. Ideally, each video will need to be edited within 5 working-days from assignment to ensure timely publication.
Key Responsibilities Edit and produce eye-catching video content for our YouTube channel, social media platforms and online courses, maintaining brand consistency.
Create custom animations and motion graphics to visually enhance cloud technology concepts.
Collaborate with our editorial team to align visual designs with content themes.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet daily deadlines to support the publication of content.
Ensure all videos are optimized for digital platforms and adhere to our style guidelines.
Use critical thinking to decide the best editing techniques and check your own work to create high-quality, error-free videos.
Required Skills Proven experience as a Video Editor or a similar role. Excellent understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, storytelling, and sound design. Ability to translate complex ideas into visually appealing and comprehensible videos.
Proficiency in video editing software, such as: Premiere Pro After Effects Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator to back up the work in Premiere Pro Basic knowledge of audio editing in Audition
Proficiency in project management and communication tools (Google Drive, ClickUp, Zulip). Must be able to work independently and stay organized to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience/knowledge of cloud-based technology is a plus.
