We are looking for a sound engineer to create a childrens audiobook for 5-7 year old. The audiobook story is for 5-7 year olds. Therefore we are not just looking for a sound engineer who is excellent at their craft but someone who understands how to engage the audience their targeting and knows the right sounds to use for the characters emotions, tension building, scenes and really knows how to compliment every detail of the scene, characters, narrative etc.
We are looking for someone that can work independently and doesn't need much of our input and can catch the vision of the story itself and immerses themselves in the scenes and characters.
We really want the story the audiobook to feel like a disney movie but not only that we want the the sounds used from beginning to the end to (tell the story - without the narrative - so if you take the narrative away; you can follow through the story with just the sound), so the sound is reliant on the narrative but the sound itself has its own narrative,
We are looking for a MASTERPIECE, Can you engage 5-7 year olds in the audio book for 25 minutes where it has a CINEMA feel to it? Can you execute this role beyond our expectations? What experience, do you have in this area and what understanding do you have about the age group?
