ecom GmbH is a fast-growing Swiss e-commerce business. We’re seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technical strategy for our WordPress e-commerce website, built with Oxygen Builder.
Role Overview
The CTO will oversee the development, optimization, and scaling of our WordPress e-commerce website, ensuring robust performance, security, and innovation. This role will enable our CEO to focus on strategic growth while driving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical roadmap for our WordPress e-commerce website (built with Oxygen Builder). - Manage and optimize website performance, integrations, and security (e.g., GDPR/DSG compliance). - Oversee developers and manage tasks using our Asana setup to meet deadlines and reduce delays by 30%. - Implement AI-driven features (e.g., recommendation engines, chatbots) using tools like TensorFlow or xAI’s API (https://x.ai/api). - Ensure compatibility and testing across platforms (e.g., BrowserStack for iOS Safari, Android Chrome). - Hire and scale the development team via platforms like People Per Hour or Upwork.
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical leadership, preferably in e-commerce. - Expertise in WordPress development and Oxygen Builder. - Proficiency with Asana for project management. - Experience with AI tools and GDPR/DSG compliance. - Ability to manage remote teams and ensure scalable website infrastructure. - Strong communication and results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience scaling WordPress e-commerce websites for EU markets. Familiarity with AI-driven e-commerce solutions and Oxygen Builder integrations. Connections in Swiss/European tech ecosystems (e.g., Online Swiss Trading Association).
