I'm looking to have a tool created for our eSIM website price updates. The goal is to automatically fetch the latest pricing from our carrier, who has an API, compare it against our live prices in Shopify (matched by SKU), and notify us if any updates are needed — but only apply them once we've manually approved.
Overview Automate price monitoring across our site by comparing Carrier pricing with Shopify, and provide a secure interface for manual approval before pushing any updates.
Core Workflow
Fetch live eSIM pricing – Use Get All Data Packages endpoint from carrier API – Match to products in Shopify using SKU
Compare pricing – Pull current Shopify prices using Admin API (variant or product depending on structure) – Identify any discrepancies – Note for each SKU: • New price • Current price • Price difference • Direction (↑ or ↓)
Notify via email – Send a summary email (or notification) showing which SKUs have changed, grouped by: • Price increases • Price decreases – Include link to a secure approval interface
Web-based approval UI – Simple interface showing the list of affected SKUs, old/new price, % change – Approve all or select individual items to approve – Once approved, trigger an update to Shopify via API for the approved SKUs only
Optional logs – Record change history for reference: SKU, old price, new price, change date, status (e.g. “approved & updated”)
Tech Stack Notes Shopify API: REST or GraphQL – up to you
eSIM Access API: already reviewed and ready
Email alert can come from a server job (cron or webhook triggered)
Approval interface can be hosted internally with basic auth/login
