We are seeking an experienced developer to build a bi-directional messaging integration between our CRM system and Google Chat using the Google Chat API. The integration must enable our CRM users to send messages directly to specific Google Chat spaces or users, and to receive replies or new messages from Google Chat within the CRM in real time.
Key Deliverables: Message Sending from CRM to Google Chat:
Implement functionality to push messages from our CRM to Google Chat spaces or DMs.
Support sending structured messages (cards, links, text).
Message Receiving from Google Chat to CRM:
Set up a webhook to receive messages or replies from Google Chat.
Parse incoming messages and post them to the appropriate section within the CRM (e.g., linked to a lead, opportunity, or support ticket).
Authentication and Security:
Implement OAuth 2.0 authorization for secure API access to Google Chat.
Handle token refresh logic and permission scopes properly.
Ensure end-to-end encryption and secure delivery of messages.
Webhook Configuration:
Register and handle Google Chat events (e.g., MESSAGE, ADDED_TO_SPACE, REMOVED_FROM_SPACE).
Handle retry logic and message validation (e.g., JWT verification if needed).
Error Handling and Logging:
Log failed deliveries or authentication errors.
Provide fallback and retry mechanisms for failed message posts.
Scalability & Maintainability:
Design the integration to support multiple users and spaces.
Ensure the architecture is modular and well-documented for future enhancements.
