After months on the main dating apps, I’ve realised that crafting a profile that actually lands is harder than it looks.
I’ve worked hard on my profiles — they reflect who I am (adventurous, self-aware, sharp, and definitely not dull) — but I’m not getting many matches, and conversations rarely go anywhere. I know some of that comes with age (I’m 50 but look/feel younger and don't click with people anywhere near my age, and my preferred range is 30–44), but I want to make sure I’m not unknowingly putting people off with how I come across.
I’ve used AI to help refine things already (yes, ChatGPT’s had a go!) — but I really believe a human touch makes a difference. Someone who can spot what’s missing, what feels off, and help me adjust the tone or structure without losing authenticity.
Also — and I hope this doesn’t sound sexist — I think this kind of thing really needs a woman’s perspective. You just see what men don’t, especially when it comes to what actually makes a profile click from your side of the app.

Review my dating app profiles (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge) Help me improve how I come across — tone, balance, first impression, etc. Keep it sounding like me, not a marketing campaign Give honest advice, not sugar-coating If you’ve got a good sense of what makes a profile stand out — especially for men over 40 — I’d love to work together. Not looking for a quick fix, just smart feedback to help get things moving.
