We are seeking an illustrator and designer to create a new children's worship book. The goal of this book is to introduce young children, ages 4 to 8, to the concepts of praise, worship, song, and prayer in an engaging and developmentally appropriate manner. The book will feature original illustrations along with easy to understand scriptural teachings, prayers, and songs of worship. Visuals should be brightly colored and capture a child's imagination to keep them interested and actively engaged. Short sections of just a paragraph or two will be included to keep younger attention spans focused. Illustrations will need to complement various themes of thanking God, showing love for Him, asking for guidance, and sharing joys or concerns in prayer. Sample prayers, songs, and activities will provide examples for children to participate in spiritual experience. Visuals need to simply depict biblical stories, events, or principles in a way preschoolers and early elementary students can relate to. The layout will have a consistent, lesson-based format with questions or activities for parental involvement. Font sizes and balance of images to text will consider the intended audience. Colors, characters, and designs should appeal to both boys and girls. Accuracy in depicting people and settings from the Bible is important while maintaining an approachable, non-threatening style kids will feel comfortable with.
