We’re a craft and hobby wholesaler serving independent craft shops across the UK. We need someone to call past customers and interested leads, with a friendly UK accent that immediately sets shop owners at ease.
What You’ll Do
• Make outbound calls (2–3 hours/day, flexible schedule) to one of three main lists that we have:
o 185 businesses that either haven’t ordered in a long time or registered but never placed an order
• Speak to craft-shop owners or buyers to:
o Re-engage past wholesale clients (e.g., “Hi, just checking how business is going, we’ve noticed you’ve not ordered since / how are things?”)
o Qualify leads who filled out our “interested” form but haven’t placed an order yet (doesn’t sell yarn / sells yarn but not interested / interested – will register/make an order)
• Record call outcomes in our shared Excel sheet (e.g., “Interested—want to make an order,” “Need to call back next week,” “Not interested,” etc.)
• Provide concise daily/weekly summaries of call metrics: calls made, conversations held, follow-ups needed
• Flag common questions or objections (e.g., “shop closing for summer,” “budget constraints,” product inquiries) so we can refine our outreach and inventory
Who You Are
• Native UK English speaker—a clear, friendly accent that craft-shop owners find approachable.
• Experienced in outbound calling, telesales, or telemarketing, ideally in retail, wholesale, or B2B.
• Looking for a side gig: you have your own headset/phone, can commit a few hours during weekdays 10am - 5pm to meet shop opening hours, and work independently without handholding.
• Organised and honest about logging calls and results—accurate data keeps our lean team running smoothly.
• Self-starter who can pick up the phone, talk confidently about craft products, and guide shop owners toward placing a wholesale order.
• Comfortable with basic tech: Google Sheets, using an ecommerce website (creating an account, logging in, adding products to a basket, completing checkout)
Ideal Extras (Not Mandatory)
• Familiarity with various craft categories (e.g., cross stitch, needlecrafts, yarns and knitting).
• A dash of creativity— if you can pick up on current trends/popular ranges and discuss with customers.
What We Offer
• Pay & Bonuses:
Fixed project fee of £185 for calling the list of 185 contacts to a definitive outcome.
o £6 bonus for each order you bring in.
• Flexible, Remote Work: Dial in from home, mornings or afternoons.
• Performance Metrics: Number of contacts resolved, qualified leads identified, and orders generated.
Payment is tied to completed contacts, with the extra £6 reward per confirmed order.
