We're building a lightweight fantasy football Start/Sit recommendation tool powered by real-time Vegas betting odds. The goal is to give users a clean interface where they can compare two players and get a recommendation based on their current yardage prop lines.
This is an early-stage MVP build — we want to move quickly, validate the idea, and iterate based on feedback.
The project is currently untitled, but I'm looking for a developer who at least has a basic understanding of betting odds and how fantasy NFL works.
The idea is that there is a basic interface where a user enters two different players and then there is a comparison of their stats offered by betting websites to help people understand who they should start in their fantasy match up.
The website operates on a simple premise:
Input two player names Pull odds data from an API Recommend who to start
Technical Requirements:
Build a modern web app (frontend + basic backend) using React, Next.js, or similar Integrate with a sports betting API (e.g., The Odds API, SportsDataIO) A results section that shows both players’ odds and a recommendation Set up basic hosting and deployment (e.g., Vercel, Railway, Render) Optionally help with future iterations (subscriptions, top picks dashboard, etc.)
