Expected duration: Not sure We’re looking for a legally sharp Equality Act specialist — ideally a barrister or solicitor with real experience in disability discrimination by service providers (not just employment cases).
This isn’t a one-off job — it’s about building a relationship with someone we can turn to for occasional expert help. We usually prepare detailed drafts and background information ourselves and need someone to step in to review and strengthen things when they’re moving towards legal escalation.
One key part of this role is issuing legal letters from your practice when appropriate. These are based on accurate internal drafts — your formal input and authority help show businesses we’re ready to escalate if needed.
Ideal if you’re:
Experienced with Equality Act 2010 (Part 3 – Services & Public Functions)
Familiar with disability discrimination law outside employment
Comfortable reviewing particulars of claim and confirming legal strength
Willing to send formal letters and be named where appropriate
This is an ongoing role, and we’ll seek to agree a menu of costs for various activities — including hourly rates for advice calls, reviewing particulars of claim, and the full range of litigation-related tasks. The project budget is just a placeholder — we’ll structure pricing together. Please quote ref KAB at the start of your reply
