We are seeking an experienced computational physicist or engineer to conduct radiation shielding simulations for a diagnostic imaging facility. The goal is to model the penetration of X-ray and gamma radiation through different shielding materials (e.g., lead, concrete) and optimize the shielding design to comply with ICRP/IAEA dose limits.
Scope of Work:
Use simulation software (e.g., MCNP, GEANT4, FLUKA) to model radiation transport and shielding.
Analyze and compare effectiveness of different shielding materials and configurations.
Provide recommendations on optimal material and thickness for safety and cost-efficiency.
Deliverables: simulation files, summary report, data analysis, and conclusions.
Requirements:
Experience in computational radiation modeling.
Proficiency in Monte Carlo-based simulation tools.
Background in medical physics or related field preferred.
