An audio editor is sought to enhance weekly podcast episodes (length between 25 and 45 mins each). The editor will refine sound quality, removing retakes, gaps and inconsistencies from both audio and corresponding video files (clips will be extracted from such for social media). Familiarity with Descript is required to seamlessly receive project links. (Editing can happen elsewhere and they send back the files, but ideally looking to eliminate both sending and receiving files outside the tool which adds complexity and more version control, etc).
While video elements merely demand basic audio improvements and adding opening and closing sequences, nuanced audio editing expertise is needed to polish full-length episodes. The ideal candidate or firm possesses skill refining multiple shows consistently to maintain high-calibre output. Recurring work is anticipated for the right support providing clean, polished final products on an ongoing schedule.
