Expected duration: less than 1 week We're seeking a skilled Google Ad Manager (GAM) expert to revamp our GAM account, configure advanced ad serving, and establish sponsorship placements for direct ad sales on our websites.
This role focuses solely on GAM setup and configuration for our website's ad inventory. It does NOT involve campaign management, ad buying, or traffic generation.
Please note: We’re specifically working with Google Ad Manager (GAM) — not Google Ads or AdSense. If you're only experienced with Google Ads/AdSense, this project is not for you.
## What You'll Do
### GAM Account Cleanup & Optimization - Audit and streamline ad units, line items, orders, and settings. - Optimize video and display ad placements for efficiency.
### Video Pre-roll Ad Configuration - Set up a robust fallback system: -- Primary pre-roll demand source -- Secondary fallback source -- Google Ads (AdSense/Ad Exchange) as final fallback - Implement passback tags or dynamic allocation for seamless ad delivery. - Ensure proper VAST/VPAID setup for video ads.
### Website Display Ad Setup - Configure companion ads (banners synced with video pre-rolls). - Set up roadblocks (same campaign across all ad slots on a page).
### Direct-Sold Sponsorship Ad Setup - Enable direct ad sales with priority over fallback systems. - Create sponsorship line items with frequency capping (e.g., 3 impressions per user per day). - Simplify creative uploads and campaign assignments for sponsorships.
### Optimization & Documentation - Recommend strategies to boost fill rates and revenue. - Provide clear, concise documentation for managing and updating the setup.
## Requirements - Proven expertise in Google Ad Manager (GAM) configuration. - Deep knowledge of video pre-roll ads, passbacks, and fallback systems. - Experience with companion ads, roadblocks, and direct-sold sponsorships. - Proficiency in setting up frequency capping and impression limits. - Familiarity with Google Ad Exchange, AdSense, and third-party demand sources.
## Nice-to-Have (Not Required) - Experience with Prebid.js for header bidding. - Knowledge of programmatic advertising or DSPs.
