Minor Paraphrasing & Clarity Smooth out awkward constructions in both quotes (where permissible) and author commentary Preserve theological nuance and source integrity Improve flow and readability without altering meaning
Theological Consistency Identify any theological or doctrinal inconsistencies or ambiguities Suggest clarifications, footnotes, or brief annotations where needed Ensure terminology (ʿajz, taqwā, imāma, etc.) is used consistently
Style & Voice Maintain the author’s voice and tone Recommend stylistic improvements to engage both scholarly and lay readers
