We’re involved in a small claims case with a hearing scheduled on 16 May at Burnley County Court.
Briefly, we hired someone via PeoplePerHour who misrepresented themselves as a qualified lawyer and turned out to be a translator. The judge was frustrated, but we resolved the original claim privately. We then filed a refund request with PeoplePerHour and won the decision.
Now that same company has filed a claim against us. We already submitted a defence form and attended a mediation session, but no agreement was reached. The case is now moving forward to a full hearing.
We recently received a court letter asking us to submit all evidence and materials in advance. We need help to:

As this is a relatively small claim, we hoping the lawyer can assist us with this on a fixed-fee basis, covering the preparation of the essential documents.
