I’m looking for a UK-based 3D character artist to create a 3D printable model of a whimsical fantasy character based on a 2D illustration I’ll provide (attached with watermark). The character, Twiggle, is part of a children’s book series I’ve written and developed with care. This project is for a figurine-style model that will eventually be used for resin or plastic printing — similar in feel to vintage Smurf toys.
✏️ Project Scope:
I will provide a high-quality 2D reference image (attached here in a watermarked form). You will create a 3D model (.STL or .OBJ) of the character, suitable for printing at approx 8–10 cm high. The model should reflect the cartoonish, friendly style of the drawing — expressive, simple-limbed, and suited to young audiences.
The character must be freestanding, balanced, and ready for 3D print slicing with resin or PLA (minimal overhangs if possible).
I’ll need the final 3D file to test a print, plus one or two preview renders to visualise the result.
