Title: Freelance Lighting Engineer – Lighting Specialist for consulting in the initial planning phase. Description: We are a real estate development firm seeking a freelance lighting engineer or lighting designer with strong technical and design skills to develop interior lighting plans for projects currently in the design phase. In some cases, the scope may be limited to consultation only, where we seek expert feedback and guidance without requiring full design work. Location: Saudi Arabia (international freelancers welcome).
Your Role: You will be responsible for: Suggesting & reviewing a full lighting layout. Suggesting more natural ambiance lighting approaches. Proposing energy-efficient, cost-effective & natural ambient fixture types. Calculating lux levels to ensure lighting adequacy and comfort.
Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in residential/multifamily lighting. Can provide visualizations or real-world project examples. Understands daylighting strategies and human-centric lighting. Optional: Knowledge of Saudi or GCC lighting codes is a plus.
Deliverables: Lighting layout drawings. Fixture specs with manufacturer references. Basic BOQ (excel format). PDF/DOC/AutoCAD or any current format outputs. Please include a portfolio or 2–3 past project examples when applying.
