We are looking for a skilled and sensitive sound expert or audio designer to create a powerful and emotional soundscape to be played during a Freedom March in support of Palestine.
The soundscape will include: • Audio clips from news broadcasts (bombings, shellings, destruction) • Sounds of children crying, mothers wailing, and people reacting to devastation • Seamless layering and overlapping of all audio elements to build a raw, haunting, and deeply human atmosphere • A total length of approximately 3–5 minutes, with potential for loop playback
Purpose: This audio piece will be used as part of a peaceful protest and visual installation to evoke empathy, raise awareness, and honour the victims of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Requirements: • Experience in documentary, protest, or human rights-related sound editing is a plus • Able to source and legally use public domain or fair-use sound clips (we can assist in providing some raw material if needed) • Sensitive handling of emotional content – this piece must be powerful but respectful • Quick turnaround preferred (within 7–10 days)
Please note: this project will not make you rich. We are a nonprofit, and this is a self-funded, humanitarian effort. The budget is limited, but the purpose is profound. We’re looking for someone who believes in justice, in storytelling through sound, and in using their craft to stand on the right side of history. Any offers above the asking will be declined, I’m sorry.
This is a deeply important project to us, and we’re looking for someone who understands the gravity of the message and can deliver an audio piece that will truly move hearts.
