We are looking for a freelance Microsoft Intune & PowerShell expert to help optimise our Microsoft Edge favourites deployment. Currently, we have set up two separate Intune policies:
Director’s Favourites – Applied to Directors' PCs Staff Favourites – Applied to Staff PCs
While the setup is functional, we need assistance in refining how the favourites are displayed and making management easier.
Scope of Work
We need a one-time project-based solution to address the following challenges:
Favourites Bar Display Fix
Currently, all favourites appear under a single tab called “DIRECTORS FAVOURITES” or “STAFF FAVOURITES.”
We want folders to appear as individual tabs on the favourites bar for better accessibility.
Simplifying Management & Updates
Right now, making changes requires manually editing JSON files within Intune, which is time-consuming. We need a better method that allows easy modifications without requiring JSON or coding expertise.
Alternative Deployment Method
Our MSP suggested a PowerShell-based solution but lacks the expertise to implement it.
We are open to an Intune-based improvement or a PowerShell-driven approach, but it must be easy to use.
Deliverables
We expect the freelancer to:
✅ Modify how favourites are deployed so that folders appear as individual tabs across the favourites bar.
✅ Provide a simplified method to update favourites without dealing with JSON files manually.
✅ If PowerShell is the best solution, create a user-friendly tool or script that allows quick modifications without coding knowledge.
Required Skills
✔️ Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Manager – Experience with managing Edge policies.
✔️ PowerShell Scripting – Ability to automate deployment if required.
