So.... does this person exist? Someone who has worked with government bodies. This is sort of like a quango client run by civil servants but in the third sector and with a big need to raise awareness and interest from foreign investors and big industry for multi million pound investments in land, property, manufacturing, tech etc. Anyway, I need someone to join my team to manage all press and media side of things.
The client is based in London so you will have to be UK based, ideally in London as they like lots of site visits and office meetings. A bit old school but so be it. We're pitching for this work and down to the final three - I just need someone amazing in place before the end of the week so I can talk about how brilliant you are when I meet them next Tuesday. you will need to be white labelled. If we win, which I intend, we will start work in April - your bit will start small and then ladder up quite nicely over a period of months. PR is an important part of the awareness/interest solution IMO.
I am looking for someone with proven experience, heavyweight credentials - the scope and scale of work is still to be defined but is bound to be chunky in '25 and maybe '26 and '27 too if we do a good job and they extend the contract as hoped.
I normally think that PR people need to have industry contacts but I am no longer sure if that is the case. What I do know I want is someone who has done it all and done it well. And who knows how the modern world of PR operates. Because I don't. :)
I will shortlist 3 people max for a quick video call on Zoom - this is an important form of communication within the agency and probably with the client too, though they tend to be more Teams focused.
