As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team with a skilled and self-driven Quantity Surveyor to assist with our ongoing projects. The Role: We are seeking an experienced Self-Employed Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in construction, specifically in providing detailed quotes from architects' drawings and producing bills of quantity and material take-offs. You will also be responsible for procurement activities related to materials. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations from architects' drawings and bills of quantity. • Conduct material take-offs and provide cost analysis. • Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for new projects. • Provide advice on cost-effective building practices and alternative solutions. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. • Strong ability to prepare quotes from drawings and produce bills of quantity and material take-offs. • Experience with material procurement and supplier management. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation. • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and contractors. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. • Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, Quantity Surveying tools). • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential based on experience).
