Expected duration: Ongoing We are a community interest company that provides low cost legal (unreserved activities) to members of the public. The CIC provides up to 67% saving when compared to solicitors.
Under S.23 Legal Services Act 2007, the CIC can conduct reserved activities by virtue of being an exempt person. However in order to do carry on reserved activites, they require an authorised person to be employed (either as an employee or manager) by the CIC.
We are therefore looking for an authorised person (as defined under the Legal Services Act 2007) to be employed with the CIC.
The role will be to manage (including giving instructions) and supervise the current employees in order that the CIC can carry out reserved legal activities (conducting litigation) and to enable one of the employees to act as a 'solicitors agent' at hearings under the relevant exemptions found in Schedule 3.
The proposed fee for the above is 15% of income. The budget set on this platform of £275.00 is non-contractual. It is not a fixed fee proposed and is not indicative of actual income.
The authorised person will need to provide warranties that:
1. They are authorised by their regulator to carry out the role proposed.
2. That they will not seek to entice away any clients.
