Job Description: We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Manager to handle two Instagram accounts for our Brooklyn-based retail businesses: Happy Cork (wine & spirits) and Happy Buds (CBD products). Our stores focus on offering black-owned brands, fostering community, and providing top-notch products both in-store and online. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and create content for two Instagram accounts: @happycorkbrooklyn and @happybudsbrooklyn • Develop and schedule 5-6 posts per week per account, including images, reels, and stories aligned with our current brand aesthetic and voice • Write engaging captions that reflect our brands’ personalities and encourage customer interaction • Engage with followers by responding to comments, DMs, and fostering a sense of community • Collaborate with our team to promote store events, new product arrivals, and special offers • Use analytics to track growth, engagement, and adjust strategies as needed to drive traffic to both our physical stores and online platforms What We’re Looking For: • Experience managing social media accounts for retail brands, especially in the wine/spirits, CBD, or lifestyle sectors • Strong visual and copywriting skills, with an eye for aesthetic consistency • Ability to create engaging content that resonates with our diverse Brooklyn audience • Knowledge of social media trends, tools, and best practices • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools for creating graphics and editing images/videos • Experience with Instagram analytics and growth strategies • Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication with our team Budget: $400/month for both accounts (combined) Bonus Points for: • Experience working with small businesses in Brooklyn or similar urban markets • Familiarity with black-owned brands and a passion for supporting them • Knowledge of retail marketing strategies for both in-store and e-commerce sales To Apply: Please submit your portfolio, examples of past work (especially Instagram accounts you’ve managed), and a brief explanation of how you would help grow our social media presence while staying true to our brand.
