Hi all,
I’m currently working on my first documentary focused on women’s health. While I don’t have prior experience in documentary filmmaking, I’m eager to take on the challenge. I have a relatively small budget, but I’m committed to making this project a reality and am looking for a team to help bring it to life.
I am seeking the following roles:
Production Assistant – Someone to help me organise the project, manage logistics, and work closely with me on the filming plan.
Screenwriter – To develop a clear, presenter-led script based on our existing research document.
Director of Photography (DoP) – To help capture high-quality visuals and execute the visual style of the documentary.
Sound Recordist – To ensure high-quality audio during interviews and on-location shoots.
General Crew – Anyone with relevant experience in documentary production who can assist in various aspects of the shoot.
Ideal Candidates:
I’d love to hear from individuals with experience in documentary production, especially those who have worked on projects that have aired on mainstream channels or streaming platforms. Industry connections or prior work in similar productions would be a significant advantage.
Filming Details:
Timeline: Filming is set to begin around the end of February.
Locations: London, Kent, and surrounding areas.
Additional Footage: Some B-rolls will be filmed separately in Africa.
Content: The documentary will primarily consist of interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and possibly reconstructions.
About Me:
While this is my first documentary, I am not new to production—I’ve directed multiple music videos and have a strong creative vision for this project. However, I need a team with more documentary-specific experience to help execute it successfully.
