I seek a skilled graphic designer to conceptualize and create book covers for our upcoming publication endeavors. The selected designer must demonstrate superb visual design abilities and a nuanced understanding of how impactful book covers can be in attracting readers and selling copies. Applicants should have a creative portfolio highlighting experience producing aesthetic yet compelling covers across various genres including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs and biographies. Proficiency with industry-standard design software is expected.
The role will require developing visually-stunning designs that showcase the essence of each story in an memorable yet understated manner. Cover designs must be optimized for maximum appeal to targeted audiences while reflecting the overall style and tone of corresponding books. The designer hired will work closely with our content and marketing teams to comprehend manuscripts and ensure covers are aligned with promotional strategies. Several rounds of conceptualization, refinement and approval will be involved for each title.
Applicants for this project need to exhibit strong communication skills and commitment to delivering high quality work within agreed upon timelines. Graphic design degree or similar qualification is preferred. Salary will depend on portfolio quality and relevant experience. All intellectual property rights for created covers will belong to my company.
