Key Responsibilities:
- Translate a wide range of documents, including marketing materials, technical manuals, and literary works, ensuring fidelity to the original text while enhancing readability. - Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their specific needs and tailor translations accordingly. - Conduct in-depth research to ensure the appropriate use of language, idioms, and terminologies relevant to various fields. - Review and edit translations for accuracy, consistency, and style, providing feedback to improve overall quality. - Stay up-to-date with linguistic trends and cultural developments in German-speaking regions to inform your work.
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in German and English. - Proven experience in translation or related fields, with a portfolio showcasing your work. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with a team. - Familiarity with CAT tools and other translation software is advantageous.
