We are seeking a skilled swimwear designer to develop a technical swim pack for our competitive swimming and triathlon teams. The swim pack must incorporate the latest fabrics and design elements to maximize athletic performance in the water. Some key requirements include UV protection, drag reduction, and durable construction capable of withstanding repeated exposure to chlorine from pools. The target market for this swim pack is collegiate and professional level swimming and multisport athletes. As such, the design must showcase an aesthetic that enhances the image of strength, speed and athleticism. Attention to subtle branding elements is important to display team pride and build fan engagement. Fit and comfort over long training sessions and races is also paramount. Sample designs from top performers in the sport have been provided for style inspiration. The selected designer will be expected to create 1 optimized prototype designs within 1 week. Fabric and fit testing will then be conducted with our athletes. Feedback will be used to refine the final production-ready design templates. Strong communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure the end product meets the technical performance needs of our elite athletes as well as represent our team values. Candidates with proven portfolio of competitive swim and triathlon apparel are strongly preferred.
