Hi all, I have a wordpress website at https://revenuesociety.org.uk/. We are ready to take this to the next stage in it's development and are looking to work with someone who would be able to work with us especially where more developments are more technically demanding. We envisage a series of small steps rather than one major rebuild. We would also hope that we could build a partnership so that a deeper understanding of the site can be gained.
The site is used by a small team who are not particularly interested in the technology but would like to be able to be a 'little' more active with the site - to this end our initial goal would be to take some 'back end' functionality and to create a user friendly 'front end' for it. As a primary example - being able to create blog posts (news) either via a well designed webpage or by email. Our membership is primarily 'elderly' and we are keen to find someone with the suitable empathy and patience.
This initial project is priced with that goal in mind. Other projects will develop over time - again - a partnership is preferred over a 'one off' assignment. Good communication skills would be a definite bonus - to this end I will endeavour to reply to all offers that have clearly read this project description but will not respond to automated replies (and hope that this doesn't offend). Payments will need to be 'approved' by the society so we are not able to enter into 'open ended' projects. If the budget for this task is insufficient (or too generous) then I'd be very happy to negotiate but we do intend to spend more over the next few months. The work is not particularly time sensitive.
The site makes use of WPMembership plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-members/) and we would like to develop our use of this such that we are able to use this to manage our membership as fully as possible
