The ideal candidates should have a proven track record of writing successful proposals for international funding opportunities, with a keen understanding of the importance of clear, persuasive, and strategically aligned project narratives.
Key Responsibilities: Develop clear, concise, and persuasive project descriptions that align with the goals and priorities of the funder. Ensure the project description highlights the problem statement, objectives, activities, expected outcomes, and alignment with the funder's mission. Tailor each description to meet the specific requirements of different grant opportunities. Demonstrate the project’s potential for sustainable impact and scalability.
Skills & Experience: Extensive experience in writing successful grant proposals for international organizations, foundations, and government donors. Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and the ability to frame complex concepts in simple, compelling narratives. Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure. Experience working with non-profits or organizations focused on youth empowerment, education, and skills development, health, mental health, and wellness initiatives, environmental sustainability, climate action, and water conservation, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and gender-based violence prevention, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and vocational training, sports for development, youth engagement, and leadership through sports, to name just a few;
Additional Notes: Projects will vary in size, scope, and sector. I am looking for writers who can adapt quickly to different contexts.
