We are seeking a skilled freelancer to manage the editing, production, and promotion of The Responsible Edge podcast (https://theresponsibleedge.com/). This role involves overseeing the full post-production workflow to ensure each episode is professionally published, optimised, and effectively promoted. You will help us maintain a consistent schedule of two episodes per week, maximising the podcast's reach and impact.
Responsibilities:
Podcast Editing & Production:
Edit video recordings (recorded on Streamyard) to include intro/outro segments, transitions, and episode branding. Create visually appealing thumbnail images for each episode. Extract and edit audio for publication on major platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Optimise titles, descriptions, and tags for all platforms to increase discoverability. Generate transcriptions of each episode for accessibility and repurposing. Content Creation & Article Writing:
Use transcriptions of the podcast conversations to create engaging, well-written articles summarising key insights from each episode. Collaborate with generative AI tools to streamline article creation while ensuring high-quality, polished output. Example of required article format: How the Berlin Wall Shaped a New Approach to Sustainability. Promotion & Social Media Management:
Promote episodes across our LinkedIn and Twitter profiles with compelling captions and visuals. Create a monthly newsletter in Campaign Monitor to highlight new episodes and insights, driving engagement and listenership. Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely promotion of each episode. Additional Tasks:
Provide feedback on potential improvements to workflows or promotional strategies. Maintain a high standard of quality and brand alignment across all deliverables. Keep up to date with trends in podcasting and digital marketing to suggest innovative ideas for growth. Requirements:
Proven experience in podcast editing, production, and promotion. Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand). Familiarity with podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube) and social media management. Strong writing and content creation skills with an ability to summarise key ideas in engaging ways. Experience with generative AI tools for content creation (preferred). Knowledge of Campaign Monitor or similar email marketing platforms. Deliverables Per Week:
2 fully edited podcast episodes (video and audio). 2 published articles summarising the episodes. Social media posts and newsletter updates promoting the episodes.
