We’re seeking a part-time Researcher/Writer skilled in in-depth, honest content creation and social media. In this role, you’ll leverage your understanding of titling, thumbnails, and hooks to drive audience engagement, conduct competitor research, and keep our content impactful and relevant.
This is a unique opportunity to work on content that challenges conventional views and promotes mental health education grounded in clarity and depth. We’re looking for someone who can commit for three years or more, contributing meaningfully to educational content that empowers individuals to make well-informed decisions about their health.
About the Role As our Researcher/Writer, you’ll work closely with Dr. Josef to create science-backed YouTube content on topics such as metabolic psychiatry, drug tapering, and critical perspectives on modern psychiatry. Our goal is to make complex mental health topics accessible, engaging, and honest.
What You’ll Do: Script Writing & Research: Develop two 15-minute scripts, simplifying complex science for a general audience in Dr. Josef’s direct and critical voice. If you perform well we will hire you for repeat business
Competitor & Viral Content Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis, tracking trends on other science and mental health channels to keep our content competitive.
Engaging Hooks & SEO Optimization: Create hooks, catchy titles, and optimized descriptions to boost engagement. Repurpose content into blogs, newsletters, and social media posts.
Audience-Centric Content Generation: Engage with our audience to understand their needs and shape content. You’ll also develop audience personas to ensure relevance.
Emerging Science Research: Support Dr. Josef by researching science topics relevant to our audience, keeping content current and accurate.
Adding Style & Visual Flair: Suggest engaging visuals to enhance video quality and viewer engagement.
YouTube Shorts & Social Media Strategy: Generate 30 ideas for YouTube Shorts monthly, with concise talking points for shareable content.
Collaborate with Editors: Work closely with editors to ensure video flow aligns with Dr. Josef’s voice and vision.

Strong Writing Skills: You write clearly and accessibly, capturing Dr. Josef’s direct, sometimes contrarian tone. YouTube Enthusiast: Knowledgeable about what works on YouTube, including hooks, visuals, and SEO.
