As a Junior Editor, you’ll work closely with our management team/editorial team to help produce clear, engaging, and reliable content. You’ll assist in editing articles to ensure consistency in style, readability, and overall quality. This role requires careful attention to detail, strong writing skills, and the ability to make content easier to read and follow, all while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in editing and proofreading newsletter content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Help senior editors with research and fact-checking, as well as formatting articles to improve readability and flow. Revise content for clarity and engagement, making necessary adjustments to enhance audience appeal. Work collaboratively with writers and other editors to meet publication schedules and ensure timely content delivery. Stay informed about industry trends and suggest ways to keep our content fresh and relevant. Contribute to brainstorming sessions with ideas for improving content and format. Monitor content performance metrics and gather audience feedback to continuously refine editorial strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field. Some experience in editing, content creation, or a related role, such as internships, freelance work, or entry-level positions, is preferred. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and style. Familiarity with editorial processes and a basic understanding of digital content and SEO principles. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in the editorial field.
