Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Investment Analyst with a strong background in real estate and financial modelling to build a detailed investment appraisal for propsective development sites. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive investment appraisal that meets institutional-grade standards and to be used to secure funding and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of potential real estate development projects, including student accommodation and social housing schemes. Develop detailed financial models using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis to evaluate potential investment returns. Perform market analysis and risk assessments to support investment recommendations. Create sensitivity analyses to model various scenarios and outcomes. Compile all relevant data into a detailed, structured investment appraisal suitable for institutional investors. Collaborate with senior management to refine assumptions and present findings clearly. Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Investment Analyst, preferably in real estate, private equity, or similar industries. Strong proficiency in financial modelling, particularly DCF and cash flow analysis. Advanced Excel skills, with experience building complex financial models from scratch. Familiarity with real estate investment metrics (e.g., IRR, NPV, cash-on-cash return, cap rates). Experience in institutional-grade investment appraisal. Ability to analyse and interpret financial data, market trends, and economic conditions. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills for presenting financial findings to key stakeholders. Degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
