We are looking for a skilled manuscript editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent writing skills, and a passion for helping authors bring their work to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Read and evaluate manuscripts to identify areas for improvement.
Provide feedback and suggestions to authors on how to enhance their writing style, structure, and clarity.
Edit manuscripts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting throughout the manuscript.
Work with authors to develop a clear and compelling narrative.
Meet deadlines and communicate progress regularly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience editing manuscripts for publication.
Familiarity with publishing industry standards and guidelines.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
