Project Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented individual or team to upload 500 products onto our Shopify platform. The successful completion of this project involves transferring product information accurately and efficiently from a specified website to our Shopify store, ensuring that all product details are correctly populated and formatted.
Project Steps:
Copy Title: Extract the product title from the source website. Ensure the title is copied exactly as it appears.
Generate Description Using ChatGPT: Utilize ChatGPT to create a detailed and engaging product description based on the information provided on the source website. Ensure that the description highlights key features, benefits, and specifications.
Upload Datasheet: Locate the technical datasheet from the source website. Upload the datasheet to the ‘Technical Specification’ section of the Shopify product page.
Download and Upload Images: Download high-quality images from the source website. Upload images to Shopify, ensuring each image has descriptive alt text for accessibility and SEO purposes.
Input Correct Category: Assign the product to the correct category in Shopify based on the product type and information from the source website.
Set Pricing: Obtain the cost price from the source platform. Input the cost price in the Shopify ‘Cost Price’ field. Calculate our selling price by adding a 15% margin to the cost price and input this price in the Shopify ‘Price’ field.
Track Quantity: Enable the ‘Track Quantity’ option. Set the quantity to ‘999999’ to indicate that the product is in stock and available.
Input Correct SKU: Find and input the correct SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) from the source website.
Add Variants (if applicable): Review product information to determine if there are variants (e.g., size, color). Add variants as needed, though it is expected that most products will not have variants.
Add Tags: Assign relevant tags to each product to aid in search functionality and organization within Shopify.
Apply Correct Theme Template: Apply the ‘Underfloor Heating’ theme template to each product as specified.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Shopify platform. Ability to use ChatGPT effectively for generating descriptions. Experience in image editing or basic knowledge of SEO alt text. Familiarity with product categorization and tagging.
Deliverables:
Successfully uploaded 500 products onto the Shopify platform. Each product should have accurate and complete information as outlined in the steps above.
