Specifically, the script needs to make periodic API calls every 5 seconds to fetch the title of the track currently playing on the AzuraCast instance. It then needs to save this string to a plain text file accessible on the server where the test site is hosted. This static text file containing the now playing track name will be referenced by the website to display the updating information to visitors. The script can be written in any common language like PHP, Python or JavaScript as long as it is capable of making HTTP requests to pull data from the AzuraCast API and saving text files on the server. Familiarity with AzuraCast APIs is preferable but not essential as documentation will be provided. The primary goal is a lightweight real-time now playing display for a test/prototype website using a third party streaming backend.
