I seek a skilled backend developer to build out an API for managing vehicle rentals. Necessary documentation will be provided, including specs for authentication, formatting standards, and image handling. The OpenAPI file clearly outlines the required endpoints and their functions.
Key endpoints include: obtaining available rental offers via GET requests to /offer/available or /offer/flexible; viewing more details of a single offer, including extra features and alternative pickup/dropoff times, at /offer/detail; and conditionally updating an offer's schedule or recalculating pricing with adjusted times via another /offer/detail POST.
The capstone endpoint is /offer/book, where selected vehicles and added extras can be booked. Output must mirror examples provided to ensure compatibility with frontend applications.
The ideal developer will have proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs according to spec. Familiarity with JSON, image uploads, and reservation/booking systems is preferable. Work must commence promptly and aim to deliver a production-ready API within one month. Keen attention to specifications and clean, well-documented code will be priorities in the review process.
