We are seeking an experienced web developer to build an e-commerce platform for our growing startup. The website will allow users to browse and purchase up to 50 different products that we manufacture. It needs to have clean and intuitive navigation that guides users through the shopping process from start to finish.
Key requirements for the site include product pages with detailed descriptions and high-resolution images. An attractive shopping cart interface is needed where customers can add, remove and adjust quantities of items before checkout. Multiple payment options should be supported including all major credit/debit cards and PayPal. Domestic and international shipping costs must be automatically calculated during checkout based on item weights and customer locations.
Administrative functions for managing inventory, orders and customer data are also required. The backend needs to integrate with our existing CMS and order fulfillment systems using API's. Performance and load times are critical since the site will serve a global audience. Security and privacy standards must meet industry best practices.
The scope of work includes full design and development following best practices for accessibility, responsiveness and SEO.
